PCA currently runs 3 Partner Stunt Competitions. They all have the same format, "rules" and entry fee structure. This page is a common information point for all of the Stunt Competitions. The individual event web sites will post specific information such as divisions offered, schedules and any special situations.
Format: 1 minute max time (please feel free to go shorter than that). These are purely STUNT competitions. You will not be required to dance, jump, tumble nor even choreograph your material. You are expected to provide music (on CD), that gets you (and the crowd) pumped.
Scoring: Judged on a 10 point scale (with an optional "11" if you really rock)
Co-ed: 1 male, 1 female. You provide the spotter who is not hands on (unless the stunt is coming down). The spotter can be the coach or a team mate or anyone you feel comfortable with
Varsity Quads: 4 females. You do not provide a fifth person to spot
Fun: All partner stunt competitions will be judged fairly and strictly, but the accent will always be to have fun and to showcase your talent.
Rules/Safety Regulations: All divisions/age groups will follow the same stunt restrictions/regulations they would follow for any PCA cheerleading competition. These may differ slightly from your provincial regulations and all participants are reminded to use discretion when preparing for a PCA partner stunt event. Coaches are strongly encouraged to oversee and participate in the selection of material and training for an event.
Stunt pairs or Quads may enter any event. They do not need to be from a "team" that is also in the event. For that matter it does not matter if the individuals are even on a team.
Entry Fees/Forms: Each event home page will post an entry form but if you wish, we have no problem with you simply sending in the entry fee with a name list and contact number and email for your stunt group or pair. If the specific Partner Stunt Competition entry form you seek is not on line, please use this second option.
Co-ed Entry Fee: $10.00, Quad Entry Fee: $15.00.
ALL partner stunt event registration/entry fees must be AT the PCA office by 1 week prior to the event. You are encouraged to email your intent to enter, to PCA@powercheerleading.com but you are not officially in, until the fee arrives.
Refund Policy: Half back if notice is received by PCA prior to one week before the event.
