2002 Power Cheer Nationals Event Overview
Notes:
- The specific performance times will be posted the week
of the event.
- ALL teams are guaranteed 2 runs. (1 Friday and 1 Saturday)
- The number of teams advancing to finals will vary with
division size and point spreads in scoring
Order of divisions for Friday
1. High School Small Co-Ed (1:00pm start)
2. All-Star Club (1:30 start approx)
3. High School Small Varsity (2:00pm start approx)
4. High School Co-Ed (3:30pm start approx.)
5. High School Large Varsity (4:00pm start approx)
6. Partner Stunt Competition (6:30pm start)
The exact times for the coaches meeting
and for the start of the open mat times is yet to be determined. We will
of course endeavor to allow lots of time and space for teams to prepare
but are currently unconfirmed with the venue management group re. specific
set up time frames. A safe estimate will be that the practice room (Hall
3A) will open 2 hrs prior to the competition start. Teams may need to be
confined to Hall 3A if the main show space set up is not fully completed.
We will inform you accordingly.
FRIDAY April 26
1:00pm - Proposed start time for first division on Friday:
6:15pm - Projected conclusion time for Friday:
6:30pm - Projected start of Partner
Stunt competition: in Hall 4 (at the
Active Lifestyle Festival Stage 2)
NOTE: the partner stunt competition will not conflict with your team
times of competition. It will take place on a smaller floor set up within
the C.A.L.F. show space. The viewing area for spectators will be considerably

Fitness Routines and Body building demo/competition
SATURDAY April 27
Order of divisions for Saturday
1. High School Small Co-ed
2. All-Star Club
3. High School Small Varsity
4. High School Large Varsity
5. High School Co-ed
9:30am - Projected Start time for second round of competition
2:40pm - Projected Start time for Division Finals. The specific
number of teams advancing to the finals will be determined after all team
entries are received.
4:45pm - Grand Championship (5 Division winners only)
SUNDAY April 28
Order of divisions for Sunday
1. Junior All-Star/Club
2. Junior
11:30am - Start of First round
12:45 noon - Junior Partner Stunt Competition will take place between
rounds
1:30 pm - Start of Second round
2:45pm - Junior National Challenge Cup Grand Championship (2 division
winners face off)
3:00pm - Projected time of awards presentations
All teams will perform twice. The two run point total will determine
placement
